Funkis Door Handles
Funktionalisme i Funkis
Funkis is the style that emerged after World War I and characterized the interwar period, but in particular started accelerating after the time around Stockholm exhibition in 1930. Funktionalisme was also called Modernism in Denmark. The Danish name tells a lot about what it was, the modern architects wanted.
The Danish Funkis architects worked precisely, making the design as functional and efficient as possible, with straight lines, cubic houses and in large measure, broke with traditional Danish building traditions. Among these architects Arne Jacobsen, Vilhelm Lauritzen and Mogens Lassen.
Our Funkisgreb are all produced in brass and has subsequently been nickel plated or chrome plated. The handle is made of either wood, bakelite or aluminum. Funkisgreb available both as door handles and window and terrace grip.
